Although a huge distance separates Trans Am's albums, all of them ar implicated with an extreme, somewhat humorous reorientation of the clichés and conventions of rock music, principally through either technical (exaggerated displays of skill) or instrumental (electronics, personal personal effects) deviation. Formed in Washington, D.C., in 1990, the group didn't begin gravely recording until 1995, after its members (Phil Manley, Nathan Means, and Sebastian Thomson) finished college. Their self-titled debut, on the Chicago-based Thrill Jockey mark, was recorded after precisely a few rehearsals back together, and contained subservient, largely improvised versions of simple rock-oriented figures based loosely (and, once more, quite humorously) on '70s and '80s pop and progressive bands such as Boston, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and Yes. Produced by Tortoise's John McEntire at Chicago's Idful Studios, the album was instantaneously (if middling ironically) lauded as an example of "post-rock" (an association that as much proves the meaningless of the "genre" as Trans Am's possess telling to it), in turn leading to a short alive tour of duty as Tortoise's opening act. The group returned in the fall of 1996 with a self-titled EP of slightly retro electro-funk experiments (released by Happy Go Lucky) that brought to the fore an fondness for electronics antecedently reserved either for between-time studio distraction or the abbreviated interludes separating the meatier segments of their debut. With 1997's Surrender to the Night, even so, Trans Am expanded that approach to record album length, with accidental tributes to Kraftwerk, Hashim, Can, and New Order ascendant and entirely a few recognizably "rock" songs included. Wyclef Jean Pens Track For Venus Williams
Wyclef Jean has recorded a track for Venue Williams that will serve as paper music for the lawn tennis player end-to-end her appearance at the U.S Open tennis tournament in Queens, New York.
The track, entitled �Venus (I�m Ready)� was recorded as a protection to Williams who lately has success at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, winning a gold medallion with her sister Serena in the women�s doubles
After meeting at a tape recording of the show �Iconoclasts�, the geminate hit it off and formed a relationship.

Coldplay reveal new album title
Coldplay have revealed the title of their fourth album, which will be released on 16 June.
The band's new record will be entitled 'Viva La Vida' and is named after a painting by artist Frida Kahlo.
The title translates as 'Long Live Life'. Frontman Chris Martin said he decided to name the album after Kahlo's painting as he found her life inspirational. Kahlo had suffered from polio.
Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, the singer said: "She went through a lot of s***, of course. And then she started a big painting in her house that said 'Viva La Vida'. I just loved the boldness of it."
However, Martin admitted that the title may remind some people of Ricky Martin's global hit single 'La Vida Loca'.
"Everyone thinks it comes from Ricky Martin, which is fine. I have absolute respect. I've been through this before, naming something or someone and everyone saying 'that's a terrible name'," said Martin, referring to calling his daughter Apple.
He added: "So when 'Viva La Vida' came along, I was kind of annoyed because I'm going to have to try and convince everybody of this, but it just felt right."
